This article from Lehigh Valley’s Express-Times discusses how Mack Trucks is expanding their production to incorporate two new models that run on natural gas.
“Mack Trucks plans to add two natural-gas operated models to its fleet sometime in 2013. The trucks will be manufactured at the company’s Lower Macungie Township plant.
The highway and construction vehicles, versions of the company’s Pinnacle and Granite models, will join a Mack lineup that also includes the TerraPro refuse truck that runs on natural gas. The TerraPro hit the market in 2009.
Customer testing on the new trucks is scheduled to begin later this year. Both models use 12-liter engines and are designed to meet tougher federal emissions standards.”
